At Cortney McClure Design, we believe home is more than a place, it is a deeply personal journey. What began as a small design studio focused on helping clients choose finishes has evolved into a full-service design-build consulting firm. We guide homeowners through every phase of their project, from blueprint drafting and budgeting to construction coordination and final walkthroughs.
What sets us apart is our deep involvement in the pre-construction phase. We provide lender-ready budgets, detailed finish schedules, and construction-ready blueprints that empower clients to move forward with confidence. Builders and trades rely on us for clarity and communication, knowing that our documentation supports accurate bids, efficient timelines, and fewer surprises. We stay involved throughout the construction process to ensure the vision remains clear, every detail is managed, and the homeowner feels supported. FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER Founded by Cortney McClure after leaving the corporate world, our firm was created with the goal of building something meaningful. Cortney wanted to not only serve clients well but also create a business that supports a team, fosters creativity, and allows space for a balanced life. Success, to us, means taking care of our clients, creating margin in life and work, and being fully present as a wife, mother, and leader.
Jennifer Tate
SENIOR DESIGNER Jennifer brings a strong background in both commercial and residential interior design, shaped by four years at an architectural firm before joining CMD. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she combines technical knowledge with creativity to support our team through digital rendering and construction document drafting. Inspired by timeless design, Jennifer enjoys blending classic elements with current trends to create visuals that are both practical and beautiful.
reid Traxson
SENIOR DESIGNER Reid has had a love for home design from a young age, inspired by antiques passed down from her mother and grandmother. That early appreciation for things with history naturally led her to study interior design at Pittsburg State, where her attention to detail and vintage style found the perfect outlet. Since joining CMD, Reid has gained hands-on experience in drafting, client communication, and styling with a thoughtful mix of vintage and contemporary pieces. Her work reflects a fresh eye and a love for creating spaces that feel personal and well-collected.
Nothing here is created alone
We work closely with Rovenstine Homes on nearly every project, and over the years, they've become our go-to building partner. While we’re not officially in business together, we approach every home like a shared effort. Our teams work side by side from the very beginning—budgeting, planning, and making sure every detail is thoughtful and doable. This kind of collaboration makes the process smoother for everyone, especially the homeowners. There’s a lot of mutual trust, and that shows in the homes we help bring to life.
